I purchased this basket for my 4-year old. I am very pleased with the quality, look and feel of the items. My daughter loves to put the food into her pots and pans and "cook" me up soups and stews and whatever wonderful things she can imagine. I like the wood items so much better than the plastic food we have had in the past. Since the description does not state it, here are the contents:
Chocolate bar (1), Loaf of bread (1), Roll (1), Lunch meat (2) There is one orange and one red - shaped like the haba salami. Bananas (2), Cheese slice (2), Egg (1), Cheese wedge (1), Pear (1), Carrot (1), Orange (1), Apple (1), Milk jug (1)
As the description states, the item size averages around 1½ - 2 inches long. I would assume that the contents of the basket are a consistant thing and not variable. I will be browsing for the other food items available and getting more to expand her set. I.e. strawberry, red pepper, radish bunch, grapes, etc. |

| I bought this for my daughter for Christmas last year along with several other toys from Haba. I love them, and more importantly my 3 year old loves them. The quality is awesome (solid, wooden, beautifully detailed), they are the perfect size for little hands, and they are going to last forever. My daughter has received many other (plastic) play food sets, but this set is by far her favorite. While I do not think they were meant to be educational per se, the overall fun value and quality of this set receives the full five star rating! |

| I think this is a great toy for little children. The details are beautiful, the colors are amazing and the quality is awesome. They are very small pieces but I personally think it is more fun to play with "little food" as opposed to big pieces. However they can present harm to very young children so children under 3 must play with supervision. My kids are having lots of fun with this basket. |

| My two-yr girl loves it! So does her 7-yr old bro, me too :).Had to get it for a gift since it's just the best. The wood feels smooth and healthy; small size makes it fit most cooking toys so I'm offered endless veggie soup now. Surely encouraging better diet than fast food toys. |

| All the adults are impressed with the details in the items of this toy, and I can see an older child appreciating it more so than a toddler. The items are very small, which adds to its cute factor, but my 18 months old uses only the basket to carry other toys she has around. |
