We bought the HABA clown-klotze 28 piece block set for our year old granddaughter. She can grasp and manipulate with ease the various pieces, favoring the clown figure especially. Our nearly eight year old granddaughter enjoys playing with the set as well and it brings the two of them together in a common project -- one builds while the other un-builds! Not so many pieces that it's a major project to put away and the sturdy box serves as a convenient storage box. The colors are bright and the blocks are smooth, with rounded-off edges to keep them safe. Very satisfactory toy and it doesn't have lights and sounds that become annoying in short order!

Got the blocks for my 14 months old daughter. She likes them and I think she'll enjoy them even more when she's older. I also got another set of Haba blocks to go with this one. The parts are not too small and do not present a choking hazard.

Blocks are smaller than you're probably expecting.

I've found this to be true of most HABA toys, they are smaller than they should be. These blocks are tiny and not what I was expecting, but my 2 year old still loves to play with them, so I'm not going to give it a bad review. I love knowing these blocks are safe.

Got this for my granddaughter who is 11 months old. The small triangle pieces fit too nicely in her mouth, so we had to take them away from her. The rest of the blocks are okay but the dog really liked the little round-headed person. So we had to take that away, too! All in all, I would wait until at least 13 months old for this small block set.
